Tees Valley Skills & STEM Event

As part of our High Flyers Programme we took 30 x Year 10 students to the Tees Valley Skills and STEM event which was held at Teesside University.

Students attended the exhibition zone and were free to walk around the event in small groups and visit stands independently.

The aim of the event was to offer students a wide range of information, motivation and inspiration about future education and career prospects. Students spoke to apprentices, employers, training organisations, universities and colleges. They explored different employment sectors, compared colleges, found out about university courses and life and spoke to members of the  Police, Armed Forces, Fire Brigade etc... Many stands were interactive and students were able to get involved in STEM activities. They came away with a great deal of information which we hope will help them with their post-16 choices.
