Coming Out as a Young Person - Help and advice about coming out for LGBT young people.

LGBTQ Youth Group: A youth group at Tuned In! for Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and questioning individuals. Ages 13-18.

Mermaids supports gender-diverse children and young people until their 20th birthday, as well as their families and professionals involved in their care. Transgender and gender-variant children and teens need support and understanding, as well as the freedom to explore their gender identity. Whatever the outcome, Mermaids is committed to helping families navigate the challenges they may face. 

Young Stonewall UK: here to let all young lesbian, gay, bi and trans people - as well as those who are questioning - here and abroad, know they're not alone. We want to empower all young people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity, to campaign for equality and fair treatment for LGBTQ people, and against discrimination.

Anxiety UK  provide self-help leaflets and information on self-help groups for those suffering with anxiety

Beat Eating Disorders  Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity they provide confidential helplines for adults and young people offering support and information about eating disorders. Blessing Manifesting  Motivational, Self-Help, Self-Love and Mental Health Blogger. Blessing Manifesting is a place to explore topics of self-love, self-care, body love, as well as tips to deal with depression and anxiety. It's your online sanctuary for positivity, inspiration, and community.

Engage @ The Junction -  is a service which has been developed with young people for young people with mental ill health and emotional well being issues. It  aims to empower young people to feel happier, be more positive and confident about their future,  more able to deal with life’s challenges, build friendships and positive relationships.

Kooth - online mental health services for children, young people and adults. Kooth, from XenZone, is an online counselling and emotional well-being platform for children and young people, accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use.

No Panic No Panic is a registered charity which helps people who suffer from Panic Attacks, Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and other related anxiety disorders including those people who are trying to give up Tranquillizers. No Panic also provides support for the carers of people who suffer from anxiety disorders.

Papyrus UK: Prevention of Young Suicide  Suicide is the biggest killer of young people – male and female – under 35 in the UK. Every year many thousands more attempt or contemplate suicide, harm themselves or suffer alone, afraid to speak openly about how they are feeling. Papyrus provides confidential support and advice to young people struggling with thoughts of suicide, and anyone worried about a young person through our helpline, HOPELINEUK: tel:0800 068 41 41.

Shout: is the UK’s first 24/7 text service, free on all major mobile networks, for anyone in crisis anytime, anywhere. It’s a place to go if you’re struggling to cope and you need immediate help. Shout is powered by a team of volunteers, who are at the heart of the service. We take people from crisis to calm every single day. Text Shout on 85258 for free 24/7 crisis support all across the UK.

Students Against Depression The Students Against Depression story starts with the sad loss of two bright young men to suicide. Their families invested in this project to reach out to other people suffering the effects of depression and suicidal thinking.

Teesside Samaritans - Samaritans offer 24 hours a day non-judgmental, confidential, emotional support for people who are experiencing feelings of emotional distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide.

Sexual Health Clinics and Contraception

Sexual Health Teesside provide free and confidential sexual health services in Teesside including information and advice on all types of contraception and STI testing and treatment. Our service is confidential, non-judgmental and for people of all ages, genders and orientations.

Everyone is welcome and you don’t need to see a GP first. You can attend one of our walk-in clinics, book an appointment online 24/7 or speak to us on 0300 3301122. Our phone line is open 24 hours a day Monday to Friday.

Fearless - Fearless is a site where you can access non-judgemental information and advice about crime and criminality.
