A big difference for Year 7’s is the amount of organisation secondary school expects of you.

Some year 6 students may be shocked to find that they get told off if they do not bring their own equipment to school.

There is no big pot of pens and pencils on a table ready for you to dip into when you need something at secondary school.

You will need to make sure that you are organised for every lesson. This will mean having your bag, diary, a pen and a pencil every day.

You also need to bring in extras depending on your lesson. This may be PE kit, cooking ingredients or homework.

Forgetting these things may result in a detention being given and no one likes them!

Teachers really like it when you are organised. It means their lessons are better and so your learning is more fun and engaging.
